A Republic, If We Can Keep It 🇺🇸

In 1787, as Benjamin Franklin left the Constitutional Convention, a woman asked him what kind of government they had created. He answered, “A republic, if you can keep it.”

He handed the job back to the people. That means us.

The votes are counted. But the real work starts now.

“When the righteous thrive, the people rejoice; when the wicked rule, the people groan.” Proverbs 29:2 (NIV)

Leadership is never neutral. Good leaders bring relief. Bad leaders bring burden. And the people carry responsibility to speak, pray, and act.

That is why I started Americans For Common Sense (AFCS), a nonprofit organization. That’s AFCS, not ACS! Our mandate: hold every elected leader accountable to the people who put them there. All of them, regardless of party.

🎉 AFCS IS NOW LIVE at a4cs.org! Find your representatives, email them in minutes, and get the numbers to call their offices directly.

Our rules:
✅ We tell the truth
✅ We stay respectful
✅ We hold everyone accountable
✅ We show up consistently
✅ We pray for our leaders
✅ We act locally too
✅ We keep faith first

Franklin gave us a republic. Let’s keep it.
